Strengthening Our Church Community and Bringing Mary to the World. ch10.5
Today, we reflect on our mission to bring Mary to the world and strengthen our church community through teamwork. As members of the Legion of Mary, we have a unique role in promoting the spirit of Mary and working closely with our priests to build a vibrant parish.
By introducing Mary to everyone
As a Legionaries, we surely know who Mary is. We should feel proud to have Mother Mary as our own mother.
Anyone who asks for a specific grace from Jesus, her son, in prayer with Mary, will surely have their prayers answered because we are all Mary’s children.
Do we truly love Mary with all our heart and soul?
There are many ways to show this; one way is to bravely bring her and introduce her to everyone.
We should neither be afraid nor ashamed to talk about Mary. We can also pray the Rosary in turns, moving from house to house with the statue of Mother Mary. This activity is also very good, as it can awaken faith in children and involve the whole family in preparing their homes to welcome Mary into their lives.
As sons and daughters of Mary, and as Legionaries, our duty is to bring Mary to the world so that the world may recognize that Mary is the mother of Jesus.
Reflecting on Mary’s role in our lives reminds us of the deep connection we have with her as the Mother of Christ and our spiritual mother. Mary’s total surrender to God’s will is a model for us, showing the blessings that come from faith and obedience.
God blessed her abundantly.
Her presence in the world, entrusted by Jesus himself, invites us to act as carriers of His spirit, spreading the virtues of love, humility, and compassion.
As Legionaries, when we introduce Mary to others and speak openly about her, we are not just sharing her story; we invite others into a life-changing relationship. The practice of moving the statue of Mary from house to house is not merely a ritual; it is a physical representation of inviting Mary into our daily living spaces, making her a crucial part of our families and communities.
In today’s world, where many feel isolated or distant from spiritual life, our role in bringing Mary into their lives is more important than ever. Through our love and devotion to Mary, we can bring Christ’s light to those seeking meaning and fellowship.
Let us recommit to living in devotion to Mary not only with words but also through our actions and the love we share with others. Let us strive to do our best, because every person is important in the eyes of God. Remember the parable of the Lost Sheep, and many other stories that teach us about boundless care and love.
We are called to lead in faith and bring peace to our surroundings, strengthening our parish as a community united by the Eucharist and devoted to Mary.
This is how we truly honor her and fulfill our role as her children. We all know that “the best is yet to come,” and that our actions on earth contribute to building our eternity.
Amen.
