Strength in Weakness.
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, today we will reflect on the theme *”Strength in Weakness”*. In our journey of faith, we often face situations that make us feel weak and powerless. However, it is in our weakness that God shows His perfect strength.
Scripture Reflection
In 2 Corinthians 12:9, Apostle Paul says, “But He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’” This verse reminds us that in every weakness and challenge we face, God’s grace is enough to sustain us. God uses our weakness to show His strength and to remind us that we are not alone in our struggles.
Stories of Saints
We can see another example of strength in weakness in the life of Saint Paul himself. Despite facing many sufferings and challenges, he remained faithful to serving God. His spiritual strength came from acknowledging his own weakness and fully surrendering to God’s power. This is also seen in the lives of other saints who found strength in their faith amid physical and spiritual weakness.
In the Legion of Mary Handbook, we find inspiration about strength in weakness in Chapter 33: “Catena Legionis”. Here, we are reminded that our daily prayers, including the Magnificat, are a source of invaluable strength. Mary, even in difficult and uncertain situations, continued to glorify God and entrust everything into His hands. By following Mary’s example, we too can find strength in prayer and faith, even in our weakest moments.
Brothers and sisters, let us remember that our weakness is not a barrier to victory in Christ. Instead, it is an opportunity for us to experience God’s real strength in our lives. By relying on His grace and following the example of Mary and the saints, we can walk firmly in faith, knowing that in our weakness, God’s power is made perfect.
Let us pray that God always gives us strength and courage to face every challenge with strong faith and hope.
Amen
