Living in Love Through Service. Ch 4.4
Dear brother and sisters,
Today, let’s think about a special verse from Ephesians 5:2: “Live in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us.” This verse, isn’t just beautiful—it asks us to show deep love through our actions.
True love means doing something, not just feeling it. It might be as simple as saying hello to someone we’ve met in tough times or sharing a meal in a modest home. These small actions show big love.
Real love faces challenges. Avoiding tough moments can make our friendships seem shallow. But when we embrace these challenges, we truly show our love.
Remember, loving like Jesus means giving without limits. He asks us if we’re ready to give it all, just like he did. Our actions prove our love.
In our faith, we learn from both Christ and Mary that we cannot just pick the parts we like. Christ and Mary show us that joy and suffering go together.
Christ is both glorious and suffers. We can’t have one without the other. True glory involves challenges and sacrifices. Following Christ means we sometimes find joy but also face suffering. Mary’s life teaches us that joy comes with sorrow. We share in both her happiness and her hardships. Like Christ, we blend the happy and hard times in our faith, trusting in God even when it’s tough.
Let’s remember to “live in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us.” Let’s show this love in how we live every day.
Jesus asks us, “Will you lay down your life for me?” (John 13:38). He’s asking if we’re ready to give everything for others every day, not just in big ways, but in small acts of kindness and love.
Let’s try to show our faith by loving others actively and without conditions. Let this love guide all we do, helping us connect deeply with others and make a real difference in our communities.
